Currently the School of Applied Foreign Languages has set four majors: business English, modern secretary, pre-school education and tourism English, as well as “college English” teaching and researching office being responsible for public English teaching in the college. The major of tourism English was merged into the major of commercial English since 2021. There are nearly 1700 students learning in this collegecurrently.

The School of Foreign Language owns a teacher team with solid specialized knowledge and good moral and teaching skills. Among 80 full-time teachers, 43% of them have senior professional titles, 63% of them are “double-feature” teachers, and 97% of them are masters or doctors. The college has promoted the teaching skills of all the teachers by many measures rapidly, and the teachers have obtained one second prize in the national contest on information teaching and 15 prizes in province-level teaching skills (6 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 2 third prizes) in recent three years. The college has been employing some industrial senior managerial personnel and the experts on business and skills as the part-time teachers for long time.

The students of the School of Foreign Languages have prominent performances in professional skills contests of various levels, they have obtained 11 prizes above province-level in recent 3 years, and they even obtained all the first prizes in the items of provincial contests they attended in 2019. In order to make the students have a broader international view, the college has been employing Britain and US teachers for long time, and it even sends its students to study abroad, and the studentsaresponsored by the sufficient scholarship provided by the college. In the recent three years, nearly 40 students have gone to Sheridan Technology College of Canada for academicinteraction.
