On June 25, the Award Ceremony of Global Finals of Huawei ICT Competition 2021-2022 was held in the city. SZIIT students Zhang Hongli, Huang Houqi and Yang Weijie, who were guided by teachers Ye Jianfeng and Yuan Fang from SZIIT School of Computer Science, won the first prize in the Global Finals of Practice Competition - Network Track. This is another important award won by SZIIT after winning the first prize of Huawei Student ICT Competition Global Finals in 2018.
This year's Huawei ICT Competition attracted more than 150,000 students from 2,000 schools and institutions in 85 countries from all over the world to register for the competition. The team from the School of Computer Science was selected through the regional and national competitions and represented China on the global finals stage of the Practice Competition - Network Track, where they competed with the teams from international universities and colleges and eventually won the global first prize. They showed the charm of SZIIT students to the world and demonstrated the achievement of SZIIT in actively exploring the possibility of school-enterprise cooperation and carrying out in-depth collaborative education.
It is reported that Huawei ICT Competition is an annual ICT event created by Huawei for global college students, which was included in the list of national competition programs for college students in general universities by the China Association of Higher Education in 2021 and has been successfully held for five times.
