In the afternoon of May 11, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (“SZIIT”) and Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (“Tencent”) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on six major aspects of specific projects and business cooperation, including party building in schools, talent training system construction, teacher team and curriculum building, smart campus construction, joint construction of school-enterprise studios, and off-campus student training base cluster construction. A cooperation management committee is established as the highest decision-making body for the long-term cooperation between the two parties to provide organization and protection for the smooth promotion of cooperation.
On the same day, Liu Jin, Secretary of the Party Committee of SZIIT, Wang Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of SZIIT, and Xu Zhiliang, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SZIIT, went to Tencent for a study and research visit. They had in-depth exchanges on deepening school-enterprise cooperation with Shen Dan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Group Public Affairs of Tencent, Fu Manqing, Vice President of Tencent Cloud and Vice President of Tencent Education, Tang Lie, Director of the Cooperation Center of the Party Committee of Tencent and Senior Director of Group Public Affairs, and relevant responsible persons.

At the exchange meeting, Liu Jin introduced the exploration of SZIIT in implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and innovating the talent cultivation mode. She said that SZIIT insisted on being led by party building and realized the double integration, promotion and development of party building and operation; insisted on being oriented to the education supply-side reform and made efforts to improve the adaptability of vocational education; insisted on targeting at the construction of a network-based education mechanism and created the "immersion, trend, cloud" language system which is compatible with the young students in the network era. She hoped that both sides could further enhance the level of cooperation, jointly explore new paths of moral education on the "cloud", create new positions for talent cultivation, jointly build new culture that young people enjoy, and combine force to promote the new development of new youth in the new era.
Shen Dan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Public Affairs of Tencent, said that Tencent and SZIIT had a good foundation for cooperation and had achieved preliminary results. Next, the two sides will continue to expand the cooperation space, share party building resources and ideological and political resources, share party building experience and party history learning experience, and achieve more in-depth cooperation in smart campus construction, talent co-education, youth interaction and integration in the Bay Area, and scientific research cooperation.
Wang Hui, President of SZIIT, deemed that vocational institutions had the inherent driving force to cooperate with enterprises, and especially the new Vocational Education Law specified in legal form that "vocational education is a type of education of the same importance as general education", so vocational education would have a broad future and a great potential. He pointed out that both sides would further exert their resource advantages, focus on building "Tencent College of Senior Engineers", face the new situation of future talent development, implement the new mode of integration of education and industry starting from meeting the needs for cutting-edge technology and industry, and create a "special zone" for demonstration of school-enterprise cooperation.

It is understood that the cooperation between SZIIT and Tencent has a long history. In recent years, the two parties have cooperated in building a talent training program in the direction of artificial intelligence and cloud software development; building a "flexible and collaborative" talent training curriculum system in the direction of cloud development and artificial intelligence for senior and applied undergraduates; carrying out cloud computing series related certifications and big data teacher training; and holding artificial intelligence application software development competitions. At the same time, through the innovative training modes for industry-education integration, such as the mobile teacher-enterprise workstation, Ascend (Tengfei) class and Tencent school-enterprise cooperation studio, high-quality application-oriented talents have been cultivated. Among them, the "Ascend Class" has been selected as one of the "Typical Cases of Value-added Empowerment of Vocational Education for Quality Improvement and Excellence" by the Ministry of Education in 2021.
