SZIIT students won the first prize in the National Structural Design Information Competition

Recently, the 4^th"National Student Structural Design Information Technology Competition", sponsored by the Working Committee of China Civil Engineering Society and Tsinghua University School of Civil Engineering, recently came to an end. Yao Guohuang and Xu Weiwei, teachers from SZIIT Department of Construction and Engineering Management, guided the students to participate in the competition and won one first prize (Yang Baokun, Lin Bin and Wang Peiming team), one second prize (Yang Zhenhao) and two third prizes (Zheng Zehao, Zhou Jinhui and Lin Zijian team) in the senior vocational group.

It was reported that the purpose of this structural design information technology competition for college students was to improve the level of construction informatization of civil engineering students. In the basic spirit of the Ministry of Housing and Construction's "Outline for Informatized Development in Construction Industry during 2016-2020", and adhering to the theme of "digital building, intelligent construction", the competition promoted the spirit of craftsmanship and helped cultivate "new-generation craftsmen” for the country. A total of 2,259 teams from 342 schools nationwide were attracted to participate in the competition and submit 1,186 pieces of works. SZIIT School of Trafficand Environment has offered several IT-related courses for its construction engineering management specialty in order to promote learning through the competition and improve students' comprehensive professional practical skills.
